Printing Landscape from Chromebooks

There is a known issue printing in landscape mode from Chromebooks.  After going through many forums we decided a workaround was needed for our staff & students.  We enabled the eprint on our printers, if it was available.  To do this go into your printer configuration settings and enabled the HP web services and ePrint.  We gave our printers a friendly name our students could remember.  (see Screenshot below)

Step 1:  Open a document/spreadsheet/presentation.
Step 2:  If you have the orientation set to Landscape, click the File menu
Step 3:  Instead of selecting print….. Select “Email as attachment….”

Step 4:  In the TO: box type the print eprint address you wish to print to.

For example at BHS we set up some hp eprint email address for our printers. We used the room# in the address where the printer is located to make it easier to remember for staff/students.
